D'oh! I'm in the wrong country!
Nope, I don't have a digital camera, so I haven't sent you any photos. Krista Griffiths sent you the pic of the gorgeous ornament she made for me.
The ornament I sent to ... hasn't appeared yet.
cheer,
G
Er, the one I received is on the tree (twice) , the one I sent isn't (or perhaps I'm going blind)
.
Cheers,
G
Or maybe she didn't like it....
My swap partner hasn't acknowledged receipt of my contribution yet so I have to assume it hasn't arrived yet either. I put it in the post on 4th December...
cheers G
My pet comb is something like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/JW-Gripsoft-Dou … 613&sr=8-8
I find the baby brush good for giving my bears a dusting, while I use the pet comb while I'm making the bear, as it is gentler than a teazel brush, but good for getting bits out that are caught in the seams. It's also brilliant when trimming muzzles. Th baby brush it too soft for using when making the bear.
cheers,
G
Lovely! Are you goig to tell us who made it?
Have a look at the Edinburgh Imports website. Under 'beginners' they have some articles that you might find helpful.

Mine get dusty because they are not covered, but occasionally they get a brush up with a babies hair brush and a cuddle.
The baby hair brush is gentle and they all look smarter for being groomed.

G
I'm really embarrassed that I was one of the first to receive an ornament, but my contribution still hasn't surfaced...

I posted something to the States on 4th Dec and it hasn't arrived yet.

I find a baby hair brush is ideal for brushing my bear collection. It's gentle, but removes any dust and the bears appreciate it. I haven't noticed it pulling any fur out, although I don't have any alpaca bears to try it on.
Also, when making bears, I find a pet brush brilliant. It isn't as brutal as a teasel brush, but grooms nicely.

G
Rather than tying separate bundles then sewing them on, you can wrap the wool along a piece of card, then sew one edge (of the wool, not the card) down in position, then slide the card out. You can then cut the loops and trim as necessary.
Not sure I've explained it that well.
cheers,
G
My partner hasn't mentioned receiving anything from me. It was posted well before Royal Mail's last recommended posting day, so I presume it got caught up in the extreme weather and will hopefully arrive soon.
Sorry.
Geraldine
There seems to be a double time standard at the moment.
1. Seems like only a couple of months since last Christmas
2. Some weeks it feels like someone has sneaked in an extra day or two (but never at weekends - funny that!).
cheers,
G
I have received a card from Jared of Jare Hares and Bears. Thank you!
Cheers,
G
I've received more cards, this time from Brittany, Pat and Jill.

My ornament was posted on Saturday, so now I must pray that it reaches its destination by Christmas.
