 Shelli thanks for all your hard work!
They look fantastic!!! I'll have to save the montage...and go take a peek at Freja's new entry....
Wow! She's amazing
I used to dog groom...and she looks just like a westie baby coming in for the first groom...what a cutie
I wannna 'em!!! I wanna 'em I wanna 'em!!! Ooooh, they're WONDERFUL I just adore their little sculpted faces.... so very happy
I've a friend who made a fabulous maripan pony, but I've never attempted to sculpt with it. I think it may not mold because of the very high sugar content? I know in the 1800s they used sugar as a preservative, so perhaps this is it?
Marzipan, or polymer clay....doesn't matter, whoever does these little gems is a true artist!! The detail is amazing.....
Yes, but how can you have the 80s without The Police or Sting??
These are great Chrissie!! I'm another one who turned 10 years old in 80. Got the giggles remembering practicing that in and out via car windows (so coool ~ not!
) Oooh, and those slap on wrist bracelets! For years I still lugged around my scratch n sniff sticker collection...they plastered the insided of my school folder.
Yep, Michael Jackson and Madonna were soooo cool! Cable was watched by maybe 4 people in America, but MTV caught on quickly. I can remember walking across to the tv to turn channels that were *gasp* FREE All you had to do was move the antennae around on the tv if it didn't come in clearly...or post the youngest sibling strategically holding the tv, and one arm angled into space. Heaven help 'im if they wiggled
I'm still scared of Pop Rocks!
She makes me giggle, what can I say???
Once more, I'm amazed at all the hard work, and new techniques you've tried out to reach and achieve your idea for her. I think you should be very proud of your piggie girl!
 Aleta...don't bash yourself up!! You make some incredible creations too!!!
Its so fascinating to finally see the little critters come to life. I remember what troubles you were having with the dying process....so its neat to see her 'come to life', and has she done it Bigstyle What a cutie!!!
Awwwwwhhhhh.....what a cutie!! What a lot of hard work you've put into this little guy!!! I just love how he's managed to wrangle a HUGE piece of Christmas candy....sure hope he doesn't try to wash that
What a dapper lil chappie!!!
Absolutely outstanding!!!
If Peter Cottontail doesn't put on the airbrakes for her...he's not playing with a full deck!
What a beautiful, and distinctly feminine bunny girlie
I think you've outdone yourself, and her eyes ~ WOW!!!
Oh my Stars n Stripes ~ Boo looks just like my brother when we were little!!!!
The way you've got the hair...that's Totally Dave!!!
He's absolutely adorable!!! And I think you stand more than a fair chance at the prize
Oooh, that brings back early memories of Christmas at my Grandma's I just love the nostalgic feel, and such an adorable bear!!!
I really don't envy the judges this year!
Awwwwhhhh....a raccoon doing its favorite thing ~ filching a bit of candy
What an amazing little raccoon! I'll bet it took you forever to do, all the little details and everything...what a cutie
Oh Shelli ~ You've outdone yourself!!!
I'll second Daphne.... her smile is certainly contagious!!! What a cutie!!! And she's an amazing work of art!!
I'm sooooooo glad I'm not the one having to judge these!
I just ADORE this guy!!!!
He's absolutely yummy, and must be beyond the cuddle bunny in front of the tv.
I'm soooooo glad I didn't enter this year's awards for TOBY or Golden Ted ~ that's some stiff competition going on out there!!! But if this guy doesn't get a nomination....the judges have gone blind
I didn't know Florence has it's own teddy bear show now! I know Lincoln City (old hometown) hosts a big convention on the beach every year....first weekend in Oct.
Ummm....Amanda probably would have been the only one in the 'wild' for you to see as they aren't native to Oregon, only Arizona and New Mexico, and much further south. Amanda's breeder used to live in Wilsonville, but I'm not sure she's still there. The place suddenly transformed from open farmland to strip malls, and housing developments popping up everywhere.
I rather missed the open farmland!
Oh dear!!! He sounds truly desperate to rob from a teddy bear!!
I'd say your best course of action is to keep him far far away from any form of temptation
Gosh, PRO Anorexic???
Not only is that really creepy, it sends the totally wrong message to women. I want to be at my healthy weight....with the emphasis on HEALTH. Pics of anorexic people just creep me out, and more than once I've commented on a teen or early 20 something needing to add a good 10 lbs just to look healthy. Now granted, youglings can go through a fast growth stage at times and be caught out looking underweight...I did that myself when I was around 16, but it corrected itself within 4-6 months...but there's a difference between a growth spurt, and looking like that.
I was so proud of myself this morning! I was finally able to do my Bowflex, plus balance ball, plus some breathing exercises this morning Getting there slowly but surely
Awwwwwhhhhh...so CUTE!!!!
Thanks for sharing him with us Matilda
 Awwwwhhhh...that's ADORABLE!!!! I agree...they all deserve Teddy Talk awards!!! :bday:
She's absolutely adorable!!!
I'm not that keen on mice, and I think she's absolutely cute!!!
Nothing to be shy about, she's beautifully made, with loads of creativity and hardwork
Sue Ann, Campbell was the first bear of yours that I remember seeing...and WOW was I in love!! Simply a beautiful bear, and a very deserved award
Oh Judi, you would have swept the 2005 ACE Award As it is, I think you'll definitely sweep TOBYs and Golden Teddys !!!!!
All the hard work, and the attention to details....it really, truly shows with this piece
Daphne, my hubby found (reading somewhere's) that Evening Primrose Oil is supposed to stop carb cravings. I've no idea if it would hold up to chocolate... I mean, c'mon, its chocolate!...but so far it has helped me fight my sweet tooth cravings...
Heather to be fair, right now I'm only doing the beginner's 30 minute workout that came with the Balance Balls...so not really a workout. I wanted to ease back into doing the balance ball, because there are so many secondary muscles that can be torn and damaged if you aren't mindful, and give them time to rebuild. At least that's what I've found for me. Its better for me to go slow, be mindful, and use quality movements.
Today was my Bowflex routine, as I simply was NOT in the mood for slow, mindful exercise this morning. It was a good way to blow the cobwebs. I'm pretty sure I'll be ready to shift gears though, and do the regular balance ball routines, that is the upper body, lower body, and abs workout. They really are killers! but in a good way!
What a trip down memory lane!!!
Ahhhhh...yes, I remember my Big Wheel, and how cool it was to slam on the side brake after wheeling really fast.
Yup, had the 'pixie' haircut because Mum was tired of dealing with long hair....and then the feather. Although I still love the feathered hairstyle! I'd give just about anything to have a hairstylist capable of feathering and layering my hair again...instead of the 'let's just cut your bangs straight across, cut the rest of it backwards I'm not kidding! and then charge you a bundle.
Mum's got prized photos somewhere's of me with my first Easy Bake Oven...oooh, and my Lite Brite's toy! And playing Mousetrap! LOL, I never really bothered with the game, just set up the trap to watch it work
Yep, those were the days!!
