I haven't had anything on Ebay for a while, but this week I've put up a couple of bears.
This one is Marmie -- her auction is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … :IT&ih=007
And this one is Miss Emma -- her auction is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … :IT&ih=007
Thanks for taking a look!
As of right this moment we are planning to be there
Don't know yet where we will be staying, we had stayed in a little place in Grass Valley for years because we got such a great deal, but we were told last spring that they had been bought by someone and we don't know how that will go this time
Can't believe this is the 25th year! (or that we've done so many of them)
Looking forward to seeing you all
and my young, thin daughter would say that part of #6 (the speedo) is a fashion faux pas on anyone!
This was great -- thanks for the smile!!
For years and years I wanted to do this show and it just never happened.....FINALLY, we get to go!!
So, I'm working on some new stuff and packing my tubs......
Who else will be in KC for the Jubilee?
WOW! I had no idea I'd set off so much comment....thanks to each of you for reassuring me that I'm not loosing it!!
It is sad that the gal in question would be missing out on all this great sharing and companionship!
Best we can do is just keep spreading the word I guess
I was talking yesterday to someone I had met that is making her own bears.
As I usually do, I asked her if she was on line and did she know about Teddy Talk.
She responded by telling me that the person that had taught her all she knows about making bears says that Teddy Talk is too political and she (her teacher) isn't involved with it and she (the lady I was talking to) shouldn't be either.
What!?
Did you guys go off and form political parties and hold ugly mud-slinging elections while I wasn't watching....
I have to say that I was speachless (and those of you who know me, know that is a RARE occassion!!)
Has anyone else run into this? How do we combat it?
If you still have some "color" around your eye maybe you could match the left eye with eyeshadow like you "meant" to have this look.....kind of punk rockish new age?
Yes, and be sure to spike your hair and spray it some outlandish color too!!
See, this is making the best of a bad situation!!
I understand what you mean Dorothy....if I didn't have Teddy Talk and a small (but really loyal) group of folks that regularly read and comment on my blogs I would probably loose what's left of my little pea brain!
I sure would like to get to see you again, any chance you'll get to do Nevada City next year?
Take care (oh yes, SLAP! now back to work!!)
OMG! You really did yourself in!
Perhaps you should just make up the other eye to match and start a new fashion statement (stranger things have happened!)
I was going to suggest you try installing some night lites -- I too get up in the middle of the night to get meds or make a bathroom trip, and I hate to turn on the lights because then it takes me longer to get back to sleep. We've had night lites since my daughter was a baby so I could take care of her without turning on a big light too......couldn't live without them.
Take care, drive safely!!
We've been busy working on new pieces for Albuquerque!
Here's a sneek peek:
Still have a couple more to finish!
Looking forward to seeing all of you that can come this weekend!
Poor SueAnn....that sounds like a nasty injury! (sort of reminds me of when the kid next door hit my daughter in the eye with a baseball bat...but that's another tale)
I hope you're feeling better....I hadn't heard about using a banana for a bruise, just the old corny thing about a good steak...oh well, a banana is much cheaper and then you can just eat the steak instead...
Take it easy so you can enjoy Albuquerque!!
Looks like we're going to have a big group this year.....can't wait to see you all....
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!
We're in the countdown stage to taking off for Luann Bowen's FABULOUS Albuquerque, NM show on May 20!
We're working on a BIG white wolf and several other new pieces just for this show.
If you've never been to this one, you should come and visit. We always have a great time.
Lovely, lovely!
We're at the "ordering invitations" stage of my daughter's wedding. I'm serving as her wedding coordinator, which from time to time makes for some "interesting" discussions!
Thanks for reminding me what we're shooting at!!
Best wishes to the happy couple.
Well, I can't believe it, but I've finally got a "new look" to the website and posted most of the bear pages (stuff on my beadwork to follow)
I would love to have some feedback from some of you on the new look!
Thanks for your time
What an amazing look at the creative process, and a great witness.
Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!
Well, for once I actually got a challenge animal finished by the deadline!
Meet the LepBearCon (I've also posted him in the gallery).....he's guarding his pot o' gold!
This was a lot of fun!
We're coming out of hibernation! After a looooonnnnnggggg and very snowy winter (we still have a 3 foot drift behind our back fence!!), we're looking forward to our annual trip to California to "convene, consort and otherwise hob nob with our fellow wizards"!!
Lots of new animals to bring this year. Spending 3 days in close proximity to Shelli and Scott and Donna last year inspired some very different things!
How many TTers will be joining us?
(only 34 days from today!!!)
Thanks to you all!
Yes, there is a lot of "not bear" sewing in my future.....
bride's dress
maid of honor's dress
bride's maid dress x 2
flower girl dress
(oh yeah, something for me to wear!)
I think my sewing machine needs to be serviced first!!
and, the exciting part, a trip to Denver (I wish we could do San Francisco's Britex!) to the biggest fabric store in the state for materials.......
It should be an interesting year............ok, no one is allowed to schedule anything else for the 2 weeks around August 11, 2007!!
I'm laughing, shouting and crying all at once!!
My "baby" (ok, she's 23!) called to tell us that the extremely nice young man she has been dating has asked her to marry him........
Amazing! (wasn't I changing her diapers yesterday?)
I just had to share
working on a lot of new things, but here are pictures of the two that we have finished:
This is the newest bear.....love those green eyes! He doesn't have a name yet....we're accepting suggestions!
And this is the toucan, which after a year of messing with we were finally able to complete thanks to help on the feet from TT's wonderful Sue Ann!!!
We've got a couple more close to finished, and some others in the planning, so we've had a busy summer!!
We're regular watchers at our "house" too! (hehe)
Not only is he wonderful (what a great actor!!), but I'm fasinated by the medical stuff and the approach of unraveling the mystery......
Yup, made the first one for my nephew over 20 years ago (its what brought me to the bear world from cloth dolls).....
The best version is one I created for my daughter about 10 years ago....she's now on her second one, having lost the first one to a roommate's dog (many tears over that one!!)
This is my "fur child", Elphaba (yup, get her, she's WICKED!) Actually she's a wonderful dog, rescued lab with quite a history.
This is the "grand bird", Jerry, a bird we welcomed into the family with our daughter's "significant other"
And this is the "grand dog", Soma, she's quite a character, and gives you a bit of a start at first with one brown eye and one blue eye. I'm glad she's there with my daughter when her fella is working nights.
I've really enjoyed seeing the pictures of all the animals!!
Bev Haring
Congratulations to all of you who "made the list" of the URSA finalists.....
May the best "bear smith" win!!
