Last week, through no fault of our internet provider, but because of upgrading work BT was doing in the area, and which had apparently gone wrong or something, we were cut off from the internet for nearly a whole week!
As sombody who really cannot face even turning the computer on sometimes for days at a time (my friends know if they really want to email me something urgent they have to send an email to my husband too to tell me to look!) you'd think this wouldn't matter much, and for the first couple of days I felt quite relieved, though my husband was getting frustrated about it, but having started getting back into Teddy-Talk and after the Bear Fair and looking forward to Jane's photos, even I was beginning to start fretting and realizing just how much I missed it - definitely feeling deprived (or should it be depraved?!) It was good to get it back - and be back - though how long I'll keep it up I can't say , specially as we're off to see daughter in France next week, though as said elsewhere, I shall take log-in with me and want to show Claire Jane's photos when they appear.
Does anybody else feel deprived - or relieved - when you can't get internet connected for whatever reason?
It's hard to remember what it was like not that many years ago when we didn't have this technology isn't it?
Not that some of you younger ones are in a position to remember I guess! Oh dear, feeling ancient!!!!
Hugs to you all (please let us never be deprived of those!!!)
Margaret
Yes Andrea, I'm waiting too and was afraid that Jane would post them and I wouldn't see them and she'd wonder why I hadn't said anything, because we were cut off from the internet for nearly a week and I couldn't look. I was really relieved when Jane phoned me and I could explain, because I didn't like to call her soon after the show because I know how exhausted she'd be. Anyway, obviously I'm back online - and still waiting, and we're going to France to visit daughter in a couple of days and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to get a look-in from there - 'spect so and Claire would be interested in seeing them too as she always used to come to the shows with me. I'll have to remember to take my Teddy-Talk log-in with me. Will write it down now, while I'm thinking about it.
It's nice to be remembering the show, but it already seems a long time ago! My husband keeps telling me 3 months today will be Christmas Day, and the way time goes.........................HELP!
Happy Remenicences
How exciting Karon, and how good that you're back in touch with Emma for this important time of life. You didn't say when the baby's expected, but I hope everything goes well all the way through.
Happy Birthday for today (which will obviously be belated by the time you read this, but I hope you had a good day whether it was a work or play day) Hope it's the start of a good year.
Have you started a baby quilt yet?
All Best Wishes
Margaret
Sorry Becky, just tried to have a look, but couldn't get anything to come at all. Will try again tmorrow.
Margaret
Hi Karon,
So that's why I didn't even catch sight of you anywhere, or on the train going up. Thought you were making great plans with some of the other TTers to meet up though. Shame you missed it, but hope you feel better for a good lie-in and enjoy the other shows; I know a few other people who've got hooked on patchwork and they say it's addictive and produce lovely things. Enjoy!
Margaret
As usual I'm probably one of the first home and here after Hugglets, so here's hoping everyone there - exhibitors, makers, collectors or just browsers - had as lovely a day as there were bears on show - truly inspirational and inspired as ever!
I had a great time going round viewing and meeting people with Jane (Doodlebears) - birthday girl today!
Then a really well-timed train journey home - they played out just right today, coming and going - and I hope you all had such good journeys however near or far.
Now we can all look forward to seeing Jane's photos - when she's had time to recover!
Thanks Jane, and Sarah, it was lovely being able to spend time with you, and thanks too to everyone who makes Hugglets such a special show.
Beary hugs to everyone, and hoping all the newly adopted bears and owners are enjoying their new hugs
Margaret
Oh yes, Jane, that looks like one happy dog, and a picture to cheer anyone up - just can't help laughing with it, can you? Thanks, and glad I looked!
Hugs and grins,
Margaret
Finally got to look at the photos Jane. Well done - really great as usual, and no-one would guess you were having such problems. Do hope you and Sarah are both feeling better. Love and hugs as ever.
Well done to all exhibitors too of course - wonderful bears posing for their photographs! I hope it was a great success for you all. Maybe I'll get there one of these years.
Margaret
Oooh, he really is gorgeous. Lucky person who gets to add him to their hug! Good luck with the show - any more big bears on the way?
Margaret
Oops, Karon - Does that count as 'Boob of the day - or week/month/year'?
As you said, on the grand scale of things not a disaster, and trust Josie to be nice and tactful.
(Still family history?)
Keep laughing
Margaret
Glad she enjoyed the experience. She looked fantastic and did really well.   Such wonderful times lately - long may the fun and the smiles continue!
Love and hugs to you both
Margaret
More congratulations of course! Lovely photos - of lovely people (and monkey!) May they enjoy many happy years of 'monkeying about' together.
Margaret
Hello to everybody who went to the Bearfest either as exhibitor or visitor. Hope you had a really good day either selling or buying - or both! So many wonderful bears as always - I hope many found new homes where they will be suitably hugged, loved, and appreciated and that all bears and people had a safe journey home with the traditional ending - 'arrived home tired but happy!'
Thanks for the usual fun day
Hugs,
Margaret
Happy New Year to you and all your family too, Jane, and to everyone on Teddy Talk.
Love and Hugs
Margaret
A week on and I hope everyone's recovered from the show itself and the various adventures getting there - especially you Peter if you read this - so sorry to have missed meeting you and your new additions. I had to leave early so didn't see the empty stands later - well done - now on with creating the next set of wonderful creations for February! Meanwhile ................... Happy Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Margaret
Just to say I hope everyone enjoyed the Hugglets Bear Fair and had a good journey home whether near or far. I had a lovely time going round with Jane and meeting so many lovely people and wonderful bears. Congratulations to all exhibitors; I hope you had a successful day, though it seemed much quieter than usual. We'll all now look forward to seeing Jane's photos!!
Margaret
Love the photo of Sarah & friends, Jane. Hope she's recovered from it all and had a great birthday.
Love & hugs to both of you.

Gelatinously
Going elegantly, LANGUIDLY along to inevitable naughtiness or unusually silly, laughable
yearnings!
Ridiculously
Really I did incredibly carefully use lots of unusually silky luscious YARN.
Margaret
nevertheless
Never encourage very exuberant, riotous, tumbling HEDONISTS expecting largesse entering silly season.
