Boy Judi,
I prefer to just make want I feel like making...if they love it...they can adopt it. There is a home for every bear out there
You hit the nail right on the head for me. Everything you just said seems so true. Isn't it great to be part of a group of gals that all have the same oppinion when it comes to making bears.
I once had a buyer say that she liked the non-private, so that she could see that she was not be bidding against a friend! So it makes you wonder on the other hand if it keeps you from getting bids.
I was just wondering how you all felt about auctions being a private or a non-private. I myself list mine almost always a non-private. I know that there are gals that always list their auction as a private one. I just feel like has an impersonal feeling.
I thought you might be able to tell me as sellers and as buyers on your opinion.
Thanks,
We will miss you Pipa :(
Speedy recovery for your sis
Dear Rita,
I am so sorry to hear this. I know that this is a very difficult time for you right now. Had you been married very long? I hope that he is not so cold hearted that he would toss you out so suddenly.
We will all have you in our thoughts and prayers.
Hello,
I thought that I might share a picture of a puppy that I had. Her mom was a dachshund, and the daddy a cocka-poo.<cocker-spaniel, poodle mix>. She was such a sweetie. She and her sister died this last Spring when they were eating the berries that had fallen off of a tree. So sad......
We called them "cocka-weenie-poos!
Hi Heather,
Thanks for posting this site.
There are bunches of patterns
Oh my Gosh Penny! You are hilarious
The pain of waxing under the arms must be excruciating so i'm not even going there - ditto my foo foo, why would a grown woman want her 'bits' bald like a baby? YUK
I am picturing you here, saying all this in your lovely English accent. Way to funny ;)
I needed a laugh tonight
Thanks!
I too had to close my guestbook. I had it up for a very short time and there were entries for prescriptions and [INVALID] c__p!
I wonder sometimes if our websites are targeted because of having the word "teddies" a-i lingerie, and "bears" a-i-a gay man is called a "bear." Just a thought......
OH That is fantastic! I love to see pictures of teddies! I just want to go and give him a big hug
Oh, I just LOVE seeing the pictures from your shows! I have never attended one, so this really encourages me to work towards doing so. They are all lovely displays.
Keep on adding your pictures PLEASE. :D
Hi Paula,
You can count me in too ;)

I will ad you to my website tomorrow, the 25th.
I hope that my local newpaper does not mind me sharing this photo with ya'll.
This was in todays paper, The Odessa American.
A teddie putting a smile on these darling litttle girls faces. :D
How comforting for them.....
We have evacuees coming all the way to West Texas. Houston is about 650 miles from here.
Oh Dilu,
Your sunflowers are still beautiful :)
Maybe your sunshine today will have them smiling upward again ....
Dear Sue Ann,
For me being still in Texas, but quite a distance from the coast, they do not forsee much for us but maybe showers this weekend. We all pray that it will rapidly down grade when it hits land. Please keep use informed of your situation. We are all thinking of you, our friend, and your safety.
Absolutely Scrumptious Bears!
Excellent work:D
Lots of luck at the show.
Oh my Gosh! You all are so sweet. Cassie says thank you! :D
Well, it sounds like the realistic is the way to go.
Yes Sue Ann, the mascot is a realistic panther. Her school, Permian High School Panthers, is the one that they made the football movie "Friday Night Lights" about.
Miss Dilu, the buyers at this will probably be parents. It's a big "tado" held at a major hotel that we sell tickets for $10.00 a seat. I know that last year I made a red velvet cake that went for $15.00!
If I have enough time, I might make one of each!
Thanks again for all of ya'lls input. I totally appreciate the help
Hi all,
My daughter is a first chair cello player in her High School Orchestra called "Satin Strings"
On Oct. 18th they are having a concert/fall festival called "Spooktacular." There is going to be a very large silent auction there to support the orchestra. Anyhow, Their school mascot is a panther. I am thinking about making one for the silent auction. My question is "Should I make a panther that is realistic like on all fours, or teddy bear like, but you know still looking like a panther/cat?
Heres a pic of Cassie.
Dear Heather,
One of the biggest reasons that I can give to you for quiting is "life!"
My mama lost her very long battle with emphysema this last June. I never want to see a person suffer such a long and painful struggle like that again. She was only 60 years old. Mom began smoking when she was like 18 years old. My mama was diagnosed with COPD first about 6 or 7 years ago. Drs gave her inhalers to help, but kept on smoking. After a couple years it developed into emphysema. She then had to be put on oxygen. She continued to get sick with pneumonia and broncitis all the time, and continued to smoke. The last 2 years of her life was in hospitals. One afternoon she was sick and continued to sleep all afternoon. My dad tried to wake her up for dinner and had a difficult time getting her up. He called 911 and the paramedics could not wake her up either. With the sickness, her lungs were not strong enough to expel the co2 in her body and it was putting her into a coma. When they inserted the tube down her throat to help her breath, she vomited and it to went directly into her lungs. That was the beginning of the end. She was on a ventilator from then on. She was well enough to go home with a ventilator home unit attached to a trachea. When the paramedics were carrying her up to their front door, they dropped her right on the ground, flipped on her side. Still strapped in the gerny, she layed there trying to kick if off of her while they just stood there looking at her. So back then to the hospital for xrays and reevaluation. The last 6 months were at home. I was so thankful for that. My dad and family there took care of her night and day. Hospice is a good thing, but they would not help my mama out because she was still on a "life support", the ventilator. It really did not make much sense to me because if they would turn off the ventilator, she would die within minutes..... So sorry to go on with this story. But smoking really is very addictive and controlling habit. So, so much pain and misery she went through just for a puff.....
So good to hear that things are looking up for your family:):):)
We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Miss Nancy,
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your daughter.
This little poem is for you both.
"Hello God"
hmmmm, I myself can listen to about anything. Right now I have Josh Groban playing on the computer. He has the most gorgeous voice I have ever heard :D
Growing up my mother had Elvis on constantly! She said it helped her get into her house cleaning. :P
Country- Joe Nichols, oh ya baby!
Commodores, John Cougar Mellencamp. When I really need a lift I plug in Led Zeppelin!
My daughter who is a cellist, copied her "YoYo Ma" who is also a cellist on my computer, which I listen to also.
I have a short story about Yoyo Ma,
My daughter and I was at a local record store searching for YoYo Ma cd. The young gentleman that worked there approached us asking what we were looking for. My daughter replied "YoYo Ma". He looked at her as if she was insulting him or something! She said to him, "No I'm not kidding" His name is YoYo Ma!
Hi all,
This has nothing at all to do with teddies, but I wanted to share it with you.
This last week I have had company from Colorado. My little nephew who is almost 4 years old was terrified of my dog jumping up on him. So I told Roddy to say to the dog when he approached him, "Bad dog, No biscuit!" Well, later that afternoon here comes the dog at Roddy. He points that little finger in the dogs face and says "Bad dog, No poptart!"
I agree with you all. It is super! Shelli is becoming a "pro" when it comes to design. I am very impressed with the fonts or word art that you use
