i absolutely love it , fantastic job
awwww how cute is that me wanty
looks like a spammer to me, ban it :)
edited to add, seems theyve either got a program to copy peoples posts or their doing it manually , then adding the links in, just read thru a few and they are real peoples replys from earlier on in the thread
the first thing that comes to mind is that they are too expensive to use when other paints would do the same job but ive never tried it so i have no advice as to how theyd work
gorgeous and the intricate work on that basket too, call me boggled
i wonder how youd go using real hinges, and sort of sew and/or glue them in altho thinking about it id imagine that the limb would look silly when its opened thered be a big gap in it - could be overcome with extra material that gets scrunched up when the hinge is shut
what exactly would you be trying to do with it? that might help someone come up with an idea for you
Well i cheat nowdays and make clay ears but before i started doing that id just have a piece of thread thru either corner of the ear (bottom ofcourse ) then run the threads down thru the head and out the neck, tie them together and do the same for the other ear ... but i suppose it would depend on the size your making, my bears are under 3 inches so i found this way worked the best and they were securely fastened, but with a bigger mini bear you might find that only being attatched on either side of the ear just isnt enough
Ive even been known to superglue my bears ears on in a fit of frustration so i do know how you feel
WOW tiny and so perfect , im especially amazed that you managed to write their itty bitty name tags and their readable
Great job
That has got to be the cutest pandaphant i ever did see
or is that an eleda
Awww how cute , lucky girls
I jumped on a fork because i can
i havnt been able to find stainless steel shot in australia and the shipping is high for it online ...the local gun shop sells lead shot in little zip lock bags ...says for bear making, so i have been using that the last few bears ........ does anyone know if collectors are iffy about buying bears with lead in them.... considering the product recalls of kids toys containing lead , i myself would be hesitant , any thoughts on this would be appreciated because even tho i dont sell yet im planning to try my luck soon
i wouldnt mind doing this one, exept my faverite childhood toy was an icecream doll and i cannot figure out how i could interprate that into a bear , but i'll keep thinking on it i have a few other loved toys ..maybe i might have to go to the second best one
this isnt my doll, i dont have her anymore ...just a pic i found on google
for my minis im using a copper wire, but im not happy with it really...those crimp things are a really good idea but i havnt seen any small enough to be used on a 3 inch approx bear also i have a real struggle to place the wire inside the bear thru the tiny stuffing openings .... so i will be interested in hearing what everyone else does...tho it may be only me that finds it such a struggle
Wow that pose is just so realistic
awww cute just scrolled up and looked again..so sweet
thanks everyone...its very encoraging to get nice feedback
thanks daphne that has actually sorted out a few things in my mind ... it doesnt happen often so it was a moment worth documenting
usually i dont comment on these sorts of topics as A) i dont have the experience and B) i dont like inadvertantly saying the wrong thing and upsetting anyone, but i had a few thoughts/questions on this topic...i was wondering why do people get upset about collectors reselling their collection, or even people that buy with the aim of reselling, i really cant understand it, i would think it should come down to the current owners personal choice id be interested to hear peoples opinion on this
the crappy pictures part i do understand ...it can reflect badly on what people think of when they think of an artist...one thing to note here tho is that most of the time a crappy picture looks just like one and most people can tell the differance
i also find it interesting that bears dont keep their value given how they are marketed as heirlooms and collectables...its really not something id ever given any thought to as im only a hobbiest , im not a selling artist or a collector...but i would of thought given the time and expence that goes into a artist bear collection , that there was something other than just their aesthetic qualitys.
im just curious about all this ...like i said id never thought about it all before so if ive said something that can be interprated in more than one way...i meant the good way
awww wendy, naughty naughty computer but im glad the show went good for you , if you like chatting rather than typing, msn messanger has a live call feature then all you need is a head set with microphone and your all set myself i prefer typing over talking but the best thing about it is its free and way easier to set up than skype , well i found anyway
hope soon that all your pc troubles are a distant memory otherwise give it a good boot for me
hi, ive seen them at sassys bears and fabrics , but thats a us site ....hope someone else can help you out better
Well i just had a sticky at your website and i like it ...mine isnt that advanced yet that being an understatment
