What a gorgeous dog! I hope he has a wonderful, long life with you
I'd love to learn more about these services, especially which one is the best.
Thats one of my favs!
Eye candy: wow, the list is huge!! Joaquin Pheonix (as well as a great actor) Johhny Depp (same as an actor), Jared Leto (we are just seeing him in Oz now on that Supernatural show, think thats it), Heath Ledger (most of the time!)
Good actors, well, that list is huge too.
Oh, and Vin Diesel! What a perve that is
Thanks!
I had a relaxing day, studying for a bit, reading, I baked ANZAC biscuits, and we had lamb steak and salad for dinner. Yummy.
I have feelings about the fireworks yesterday, but i thought i'd keep them to myself, save getting into a fight with someone on the net!!
jewellery, gemstones, fabrics, dreams, my pets, flowers, friends, books, music. For me its everywhere
Thats beautiful!
Here where i live its going to be 37oC today, heading back into the 40's over the next few days.
That is the coolest thing ever
I'd definately install more storage space than you think you'll need, same with electrical outlets, and also work space
Bears, naturally!
Charms for my charm bracelets, but thats limited to the countries i visit so its a slow collection. Hubby bought be a Japanese doll when we were in Japan, but i don't think i'll collect them, no room.
Hi Kim...by any chance are you the Kim that I know from the other group lol. Just because you belly dance and she belly dances and we have had discussions about Bellydancing as my sister is or was a professional teacher.
lol, confusing, but hope you understand lol
hugs Sarah
Sarah, yep one and the same
Ok Shelli, i'll let you off!!!!
Drove me batty when we were on holiday in the US, everyone kept asking about kangaroo's being kept as pets and randomly roaming through the cities like they were dogs or something!!!
Shelli,
its rare to see a kangaroo just jumping out onto the road!!! why does everyone overseas think this??!! If they are seen on the road, its either at dusk or dawn, as they are most active when its cool. of course this often leads to them being hit by vehicles, especially semi-trailers. we hit one once in the sedan my parents owned, messed up the car really badly.
As we've had such a severe drought, they have been seen closer to people, but still not so often. they are in search of water of course. two year ago i was driving past some vineyards at saw one at the end of a row of vines, the owner had watered so i guess the 'roo was trying to drink. but really, they don't just hop on through our backyards!
Because i belly dance, I make my own costumes. This can be anything from sewing a skirt to beading a bra, which is time consuming but as addictive as bears!
I also write, make jewellery, dabble in photography, knit, paint and i'm studying interior decorating. I also love baking, when time permits.
I love everyones work, you are all so talented
absolutely gorgeous! what a talented lady you are kim.
good luck with the auction
my hubby is not at all romantic. he has improved a little over the years, but not a lot. in the past i'd never get a card for anything, birthday, valentines day etc. now i do.
i just wish he'd be a tad more romanitc, some of you girls are so lucy, expecially the ones who have romantic hubbys year round!
Hayley,
as soon as i get our digital camera back, which hubby left at the inlaws, i'll post a pic.
I've made this year the Year of the Bear! i'm determined!
We do have a dedicated footy channel, but remember its biggest in Victoria. Carn the pies (sorry, had to get that in again!)
I prefer melbourne i think, its more cosmopolitan
I'm trying for the no mention of valentines day approach, to see if he'll twig without me mentioning it! I love valentines day, but hubby doesn't go for it, cept to please me!
They are funny, true or not. Sure kept me amused!
I'll try it, but not till winter. way to hot for soups here!
I drink heaps of water and i'm forever on the loo!
Wondering how you all celebrate valentines day? Or are you like a heap of people who i refer to as stick in the muds cause you don't believe in it?
I'll give you my view, from a town in rural Victoria called Irymple!
Here we are a six hour drive from Melbourne, four from Adelaide, and about eleven/twelve from Sydney. Being so isolated we miss out on a lot. As we are actually on the border of Victoria & NSW, and very close to the SA border, both the federal and state governments seem to forget about us. Our state government is attempting to build a toxic waste dump not far from our town, which would devastate our region as we sell ourselves based on the quality of all the fruit/vegetables grown here.
Speaking of which, we have hundreds upon hundreds of acres of vineyards here, much like the Napa Valley in the States. We are a town settled by Californians, so much of our street names and buildings are the same/similar as there. it was a hoot driving in california and seeing street names the same as ours!
We get incredibly hot summers here, often in the mid 40c, because we are essentially a town surrounded by dessert. But i love the heat!
Our town is made up of all sorts of people, from Italians & Greeks (heaps of those), Turkish, Aboriginals, Vietnamese, Chinese, the list goes on. Mostly we co-exist ok, but there are times when the youth fight among the different racial backgrounds, which is sad. Because we are so isolated, there is not a lot to do here, and sadly alcohol/drugs and hormones don't mix.
My favourite city to visit is Adelaide, because Glenelg is so close, its a lovely beach. I actually nearly died there, due to having a seizure whilst swimming, but i still love it. Adelaide is similar to my town in feel, just a lot bigger.
Melbourne i adore, the shops, the food, the AFL! Carn The Pies!!!
Sydney is beautiful, but i visited during the Olympics, and have been told that it wa much better then than normal.
Please come visit us, we'd love to have you all stay!
I'm willing to show him around my home town. I can take him to the river, take him belly dancing with me, he can meet my pets (i promise they won't eat him!), there will be lots to do
On a morning show here in Oz, and bloke was on who bought an unopened christmas present from the UK ebay, he paid $600 australian dollars!!! it was an auction for charity. he opened it on the show and it was a wind chime!
In 1980 i was three, so i remember so much from this, its crazy!
Great to see someone writing something relevant to us! I loved Michael Jackson and Madonna, owned a pink cassette player that had two tape players, my brother owned a matching blue one!!
i wore ra-ra skirts, and a bubble skirt, wore long socks, oh, and fluro socks were huge!!!
