My adorable swap bear arrived from Janice Mc Leod of Jigpaws. "Pete" came all the way to California from Edinburgh, Scotland. He is just the cutest little guy and I absolutely adore him. The bear I made is on her way to Janice. I hope she doesn't take too long to get there.
Here's Pete:
I thought of "Star" because it looks like a white star on her chest.
Me too, Denise - Patty Olsen Barone
I'm going to use this picture to make a Valentine's Day card for my husband.
Hi Shelli, I love the look of your new website. It's very easy to navigate and all the links worked for me. You can add my link if you like. You're on my website links page, I'll add yours to my blog too.
Hi Sue. Love those beautiful sunset pictures ! ! ! I've added you to mine. Here's mine: http://www.swanvalleybears.blogspot.com/
A huge congratulations to you, Jenny. He is absolutely beautiful ! ! ! Rosie is a doll too. You must be on cloud nine ! ! !
I had my dad build this rack for me. It's just two wood frames with wooden dowels across (like a ladder), hinged at the top.
My dad used to feed Buster like that when he visited. After cleaning up dog barf after a couple of his visits, I put a stop to it.
I mailed mine off today . . . . .
I thought I remembered seeing a leg lamp in the Sky Mall magazine when I came home last month. Sure enough, they do have one, but it's a 20 inch model ($39.00). They also have a leg lamp string of lights (cute).
I love this thread every year. It's like a Christmas Home Tour. So fun and festive ! ! ! Here's mine:
Christmas tree in living room:
Entryway table
Tree in dining room with the hubster's fishing ornaments:
Living room fireplace
Nativity in living room (my mom made this for us a few years ago. It's large, the camels are about 8 inches tall)
Cathy, LOVE IT ! ! ! That's our favorite Christmas movie. I bought it for both my girls a few years ago. I want one ! ! !
That's great ! ! ! Oh, how I remember those days.
(I had posted this under the original swap thread and Tammy suggested I post it here too, so here it is . . .)
Wendy, you are right on top of things, aren't you??
I know this to be a fact, BECAUSE . . . I am the girl who was the LUCKY recipient of one of Wendy's famous puddles ! ! ! ! ! Happy dance, happy dance. Thank you soooo much, Wendy. I absolutely love her (she is a girl puddle, I tried to call her a boy, but, nope, she's a she) ! ! !
When we got home from dinner tonight and checked the mail there was a package from Austrailia and I thought, wait a minute, I didn't order anything from Austrailia . . . I opened my package and to my delight there she was. (As luck would have it, I put my tree up yesterday but she will be displayed year 'round anyway.)
Isn't it the most precious puddle ever? Thank you, thank you, thank you, Wendy ! ! ! !

I've seen the swivel joint too, and I also don't remember where. I do remember, though, that it was quite expensive, like around $25.
Jane, it sounds like background music from a 1950's tv show or the music they played behind 50's informational/documentary films they made for classrooms.
WAY cool ! ! ! I love water slides.
Melanie Jayne, that's so funny, "Why have a dog if you bark yourself". Too funny, that's a new one on me.
I always sew my bears on the machine. I used to sew them by hand too, but I ended up having hand surgery because of it. I bought an old (1950's) portable Singer for $10 at a yard sale and it works better for my bears than my $1,000 Janome. Plus my Janome doesn't get mucked up with fur dust bunnies.
Thanks, Jane ! ! ! Right back atcha.
That was GREAT, so cute ! ! ! Thanks, Michelle
Roxanne, great jewelry. I especially love the clown pendant
I'm noticing how many bear folk are interested in the Blythe/Pullip/BJD craze (see it on Flickr). I have a Blythe, 2 Pullips, an MSD (16 inch) BJD and Paulette' Goddard's bunny BJD (she fits Ginny sized clothes). I haven't started making clothes for them yet, or photographing them. It's only a matter of time, I guess.
It's not easy to sew little tiny clothes. More difficult than little bears, I think. Maybe because the mohair is stiffer than fabric. Ellen and Melissa, your little clothes are adorable. Melissa, I'll keep an eye out for your clothes on Etsy.
Shelli, I keep up with your ATC's on Flickr. Amazing work !!!
Kirsten, that's awesome ! ! ! I'll make sure my daughter sees your post.
