This is winney's husband. It is the same winney. She also loved this site. Thank you so much for your condolences. She is with GOD now. No more suffering. May GOD bless each and everyone OF you.
YES!!! Thank you everyone, I am glad I asked too, found out some things didn't know....Winney
Dilu...This is my question....too many sold and unsold bears for the collector to wade thru, 55 pages of them...so if your bear is still for sale on page 42 ....what do you thnk your chances are for it to get seen? Winney
THere are 1642 bears listed , many are sold. I thought the sold bears would stay up for 45 days then be removed...
don't get me wrong , I love looking at all the bears but...my concern is there are 55 pages for a buyer to wade thru which my be a discouragement to buying ...what do you think ?.... Winney
HI everyone...sorry , I have not posted for a long time,, June was not a good month for me as my COPD really got out of hand and I ended up at the hospital 2 times. They kept me for about a week and a half.
I am at home now getting better...lots of rest.
I am taking this time to " clean out" all my stuff as my family is going to tear out the carpeting and lay wood floors in our mobile home ...this old carpet holds too much dust and dust mites which affects my asthma which triggers the COPD to act up too. Missed you all so much.....Winney
What size bear do the clothes fit ?...Winney
You may be sewing too near the edge..for bigger bears use 1/4" seam...
The other thing you might need to check is the PRESSURE of your needle shaft/bar ( what the needle goes into ) ...my maching has 3 different settings for thin or thicker and medium fabrics...check your machines sewing manuel ...Winney
I love that bear...lovely face and her dress is just perfect....yes, you deserve a wonderful "furbaby "...a new baer word Dilu...Winney
Holy Moley !!!! That giraff is very fat....I don't believe he could even walk ?...Yes, That poor child ...Winney
Fantastic Krista...unleash the imagination !!! I can see why you would want to do more...Winney
Adorable...she looks so sweet...Winney
Thanks Nancy...this is wonderful !....Winney
I asked my dentist for his old tools...and he agve me a bunch of all different shapes...some sharpe and some look like pallet knifes for painting...I use them for sculpting or when I have a problem I take a look to see if one of these tools may work...Winney
Try drawing the tail end a U shape ..not a V shape right on top of the ultrasuede ... use real tiny stitches on the machine BEFORE you cut the tail out.... then clip very close to the stitches... then turn the tail........Winney
Funny...good Judi...Winney
Very cool ...glad for this info. Its a real treat to experiment with the colors...those dots look really neat..Winney
Wonder of the animals..you have captured it ! He is a doll.... Winney
Amazing work...so creative and looks like a rat too ! ...Winney
I tried other ways but this works the best for me as I love to go sit at the table and flip thru my book then I get new ideas so add more sketches that sometimes can be drafted right off the costume patterns I already have...Winney
He,he...iI hate that stupid doll too...he's a creep for sure...Winney
I make 20" fashion bears and also in several other sizes..which poses a different pattern storage problem. So... I use a notebook for one size and include ;
Bear pattern in a zip lock , following with instructions in a plastic sheet
Several costume sketches, " " " and each pattern in a zip lock.
I also had to work up a list of material and labor so I know how I need to figure basic pricing every item as the costume parts do get use for different bears....this really helps when " costing" out this type of bear...some costumes are more elaborate then others..... I keep this as the first page in the notebook ......Winney
I just had a thought...Can a person just scan the paper background , save it ... then on your photo remove its background... save it (you know where I am going with this ...
Now, with photoshop program use the paper background as a first layer then use you bear photo as the second layer....add anything else like type on top as the third layer....walla!
Would this not save a heap of money buying backgrounds and be ever so creative too?....Winney
That should work..I liked Sky Blue Mountain Bears the best.....Winney
I just " had" to go look at it...Poor thing, somebody bury it........ Looks like it came out of the jungles of Bornio where some witch doctor must have owned it...
.Remember that old movie called " The Trilogy " That creepy little carved artifact guy with the spear?...I saw that movie at home late one night when I was about 30....could hardly stand to set my feet off the couch and onto the floor after that......I was so glad she threw it into the microwave !!!! I think that movie was the scaryiest one I have ever seen... besides Phyco...well. anyway it stayed with me...all these years... I do admit I cab't hardly bear to take a shower when I am along in the house..I do not like to watch scary or bloody , demon movies...there are just too many other things Id rather fill my mind with than garbage....Winney
Oh..I make bears from 6" to about 17".... Winney
